Influence Map- Manga, etc

Description

So, like I said in My original Influence Map, I have so many manga, comics, anime, and webcomics that I draw inspiration from that if I named one, I'd fill up the entire meme and still have more to go. So, I did that. With a second meme. Here goes!

Moribito. This anime is AMAZINGLY made. I love the story, the art is awesome, and it's just perfectly up my alley. I've drawn lots of inspiration from it and probably will do so for a long time.

Mushi-shi. I love how Urushibara Yuki frames her pages in this manga, and the story premise is so fanciful and dream-like. The anime is so calm and, well, dream-like. When I want ideas on page composition, I usually flip through Mushi-shi first.

AppleGeeks. AppleGeeks was the first webcomic I really started reading and it continues to be one of my favorites.

Samurai Champloo. Definitely one of my favorite animes. It's fun, the music is awesome, and Mugen just kicks so much ass there's not much left not to love :D I play it in the background when I'm working a lot.

Questionable Content. One of the most popular webcomics out there but one of my favorites. It's hilarious, plus it's quite the inspiration for someone interested in getting into webcomics. It gives me somewhere to aspire to.

Bleach. Really now. Who didn't see this one coming. My GOD I'm obsessed with Bleach. Ducky and I have a ritual of watching each new episode and squeeing/scheming/theorizing afterwards. Hell, we even started #Bleachtards. Tite Kubo, your manga and the resulting 280+ episode anime (and counting!) has given me soooo much material to work with I don't even know if I'll make a dent in it!

Sword of the Stranger. It's one of my favorite animated movies of all time. I first saw it maybe 3 months ago and since then I've watched it at least 20 times. At least. I use screenshots as references frequently, and the story as inspiration for getting my ass in gear to work on stuff. Which usually backfires because I turn it on and sit there mesmerized for the next two hours :paranoid:

Digger. This is such a hilarious little comic and I love her style! I wish my one-liners were half as good as hers :B

Durarara. It's awesome. It's fun. It's Durarara!

Calvin and Hobbes. Who doesn't love Calvin and Hobbes? That kid's diabolical nature is an inspiration to me :D

Ergo Proxy. If you want an anime that forcefully shoves you deep into an oppressive atmosphere and won't let you go, check out Ergo Proxy. I LOVED this show, and if I could learn to create an atmosphere even reminiscent of this anime I would die happy cause I'd have some mad skillz.

Hoshi no Koe. I dunno why, but this is an inspiring manga.

X-Men. I won't lie. I love Marvel-style art and X-Men tops that. My pathetic attempts at comic art usually end up being a bastardized mix of Marvel and manga. :faint: This picture is by *TimTownsend, found here: [link]

That's it.
